Sunny Lim, ACSW

As an associate social worker, I've gained diverse clinical experiences in private practices, non-profit organizations, schools, and hospitals. I've worked primarily with neurodivergent children, adults, and families on issues related to self-esteem, social anxiety, codependency, and emotional regulation.

I received my MSW in 2021 from Columbia University and worked as a fellow for the UC-LEND Fellowship (Leadership Education in Neurodiversity) before embarking my journey as a therapist in late 2022.

I enjoy helping people grow into the best version of themselves and reach their goals. During therapy sessions, I'm interested in getting to know you and how your childhood experiences led you to become the person you are today. During and after sessions, I aim to guide and work with you on learning healthy coping skills and help you learn more about yourself and envision your dream self. To accomplish this, I use a variety of clinical approaches aimed at exploring your past connections and how that influence your present choices along with taking a closer look at your thinking patterns and how you deal with your emotions.

Outside of therapy, I'm usually taking hobby classes (painting, making jewelry, pottery), exploring new restaurants, spending time with family, reading, and spending too much time thinking about where I should go next for my coffee/matcha.

Hania Tran, ACSW

Hania Tran, ASW

I’m Hania and I help individuals loosen the chains that hold them back from living a life of greater freedom and fulfillment.

I obtained my Masters of Social Welfare degree from University of California, Los Angeles. I am a recipient of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LAC-DMH) Stipend, which recognizes my commitment to working with underserved and historically marginalized communities. I also received the Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship to further develop advanced Vietnamese language skills in support of culturally sensitive mental health services.

As a therapist, I aim to help you uncover what makes your heart sing, sit with you as you explore what shows up when things don’t go the way you hoped, and offer alternative ways of responding, especially when current patterns are no longer serving you.

I specialize in working with adults and young-adults who:

  • Experience anxiety, including panic disorders, phobias, and OCD
  • Have a history of trauma, including PTSD, chronic childhood adverse experiences, and intergenerational trauma
  • Live with feelings of shame related to rigid rule-governed behavior or harmful internalized identities
  • Struggle with emotional dysregulation, relational difficulties, or people-pleasing patterns
  • Identify as ethically non-monogamous, kinky, or polyamorous
  • Care for or live with a loved one experiencing addiction

My approach focuses on cultivating embodied wisdom, increasing present-moment awareness with ourselves and others, and developing more flexible ways of responding to life’s challenges through mindfulness and acceptance-based strategies.

In our work together, you will learn to better recognize and name your needs, notice early signs of anxiety or emotional overwhelm, and pause before reacting in familiar patterns such as people-pleasing, shutting down, or self-criticism. Over time, many clients find it easier to set boundaries without guilt, communicate more directly in relationships, recover more quickly after emotional setbacks, and make decisions with greater clarity and self-trust.

Therapy sessions provided in English and Vietnamese.
